About
My name is Anthony Labor. I was born and raised in St. Albans, Vermont. I have always been into sports so much so, I decided after high school to attend the University of New Hampshire for English/Journalism with sights set on sports writing. From there I have worked for a number of newspapers including the St. Albans Messenger, Portsmouth Herald (Portsmouth, N.H.) and the Eagle Times (Claremont, N.H.). I moved back to Vermont in 2015 and while I haven't worked full time sports writing since I have been back, I have dabbled with covering sports since. In 2021, I worked on creating a blog covering sports in the Franklin County Area that included game stories, feature stories and also started a podcast with a couple of members of Northwest Access Television, which I plan on continuing here.
Since I returned to Vermont, I have coached football starting with the St. Albans Steelers Youth Program in the NVYFL and have been the head coach of the Missisquoi Valley Union Varsity team since the 2022 season.
The purpose of this website is to provide more coverage for our local athletes like I had when I was growing up using both traditional and modern styles of journalism.
